Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian participated in several public demonstrations and ceremonies following recent US and Israeli military actions against Iran. On June 22, 2025, he joined a mass rally in Tehran's Revolution Square condemning US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, which were ordered by then-US President Donald Trump. Subsequently, Pezeshkian attended multiple funeral processions for victims of Israeli strikes, including a large ceremony in Tehran’s Enghelab Square for more than 60 Iranians killed in these attacks. Thousands also gathered in the city of Mashhad for similar funerals. These events were widely covered by state media and featured aerial footage showing massive crowds. In early July, Iranians across the country, including judicial and legislative officials, held mourning ceremonies commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hossein, coinciding with the religious observance of Ashura. These ceremonies took place at locations such as the Imam Khomeini Hosseiniyeh and in cities like Sarpol-e Zahab.
