Israel is drawing up plans for further military strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities if Tehran attempts to restart or expand its atomic program, Axios reported, citing two officials briefed on the discussions. Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer returned from meetings in Washington last week with the understanding that President Donald Trump would give Israel a "green light" for additional operations should Iran seek to remove enriched uranium from recently targeted sites or rebuild its enrichment capabilities. The report says Israeli and U.S. intelligence services are monitoring three Iranian facilities where highly enriched uranium is currently sealed. Washington, according to Israeli assessments, continues to insist on a policy of zero uranium enrichment on Iranian soil. The deliberations come ahead of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s expected meeting with President Trump, where the future of Iran’s nuclear activity is likely to dominate the agenda.
