Walt Disney Studios has released the first full trailer for “Tron: Ares,” the third chapter in the studio’s sci-fi franchise, confirming a U.S. theatrical debut on 10 October 2025. Directed by Joachim Rønning, the film follows an advanced program named Ares, played by Jared Leto, who crosses from the digital Grid into the real world. The ensemble also features Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Gillian Anderson and Jeff Bridges, the latter reprising the role of Kevin Flynn from the 1982 original and its 2010 sequel. The trailer debuts the Nine Inch Nails track “As Alive As You Need Me to Be.” The industrial rock group, led by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, is composing the entire score and will release a 24-track soundtrack on 19 September via Interscope Records. Rønning told Empire magazine the production is pursuing “the Holy Grail of computer graphics,” using motion-controlled camera systems designed to make scenes appear as if they are “shot by a robot.” Empire’s August issue offers an on-set report detailing the film’s expanded use of light-cycle sequences and other visual effects.

I’m excited for TRON: ARES primarily because of Nine Inch Nails. As well as the cast that includes Evan Peters, Greta Lee, my queen Gillian Anderson and the boss Jeff Bridges. That is all.
