Tampa Bay waived receiver Trey Palmer and massive defensive tackle Desmond Watson and is set to release quarterback Kyle Trask with an injury settlement. Washington cut receiver K.J. Osborn, and Tennessee placed starting running back Tyjae Spears on injured reserve with a high-ankle sprain, sidelining him for at least four weeks. Teams must trim from 90 to 53 players by the league’s deadline; veterans become free agents immediately, while younger players are subject to waivers. Practice-squad signings can begin Wednesday once waiver claims are processed, meaning many of Tuesday’s departures could quickly resurface elsewhere in the coming days.
