Google has made its AI-powered video generation tool, Veo 3, free for all users during a weekend promotion that initially allowed three free video generations until Sunday at 10 PM PT. This offer was later expanded, granting free users six video generations, while Pro and Ultra subscribers saw their daily limits doubled to six and ten videos respectively. Veo 3, part of Google Gemini, enables users to create cinematic AI videos with synced audio. Following this, Google introduced significant updates to its AI video editing platform, Google Vids, which is now available for free to all consumers. The update includes new features such as image-to-video conversion, AI avatars, automatic transcript trimming, and various editing tools designed to simplify video creation. These enhancements aim to broaden access and improve user experience in AI-driven video production.
