Andrey Rublev eased past French qualifier Adrian Mannarino 7-5, 6-2, 6-3 on Friday to book a place in the Wimbledon fourth round for the third time in his career. The No. 14 seed closed the two-hour match with an ace, sealing back-to-back second-week appearances at the majors after also reaching the last 16 at Roland-Garros in June. Rublev struck cleanly from both wings, saving nine of 10 break points and converting four of his own to control the baseline exchanges on Court 3. The 26-year-old Russian improves to 13-5 on grass since the start of last season and will next meet either two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz or Germany’s Jan-Lennard Struff for a place in the quarter-finals. Mannarino, 37, had come through qualifying and was bidding to reach the second week at the All England Club for the fourth time. The world No. 123 leaves London with his best Grand Slam showing since 2021, while Rublev remains in contention for a first major semi-final.
