Anna Camp publicly expressed frustration after failing to secure a nomination in the 2025 Primetime Emmy Awards announced on 15 July. The 42-year-old actor had been considered a contender for her dual performance as identical twins Reagan and Maddie Lockwood in the fifth and final season of Netflix’s psychological thriller “You.” Posting on Instagram, Camp wrote that she had delivered “one of the best performances of my life,” accompanying the remark with a still from the show that underscored her disappointment. While emphasising support for fellow nominees, she acknowledged her expectation of recognition for taking on what she called a major acting challenge. Neither Camp nor “You,” which debuted on Lifetime in 2018 before moving to Netflix, has ever been recognised by the Television Academy. The 2025 Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama category instead features Julianne Nicholson (“Paradise”), Katherine LaNasa (“The Pitt”), Patricia Arquette (“Severance”) and four cast members of “The White Lotus.” The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony is scheduled for September in Los Angeles.
