Amazon MGM Studios’ Prime Video released the first official images of “Fallout” Season 2 on 18 August, revealing that the post-apocalyptic drama will shift to the Mojave Desert and the neon ruins of New Vegas when it returns in December 2025. The sophomore season reunites Ella Purnell’s vault dweller Lucy, Walton Goggins in his dual roles as Cooper Howard and the Ghoul, Aaron Moten’s Brotherhood of Steel soldier Maximus, and Kyle MacLachlan as Hank MacLean, alongside Moisés Arias and Frances Turner. Production wrapped earlier this summer under Kilter Films, with Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy again serving as executive producers. Early stills show pre-war flashbacks on the New Vegas Strip, Maximus in new armor, Lucy and the Ghoul traversing a desolate wasteland, and Norm MacLean confronting fellow Vault dwellers, hinting at the fallout from Season 1’s finale. The images precede additional footage expected during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live on 19 August. Prime Video has already ordered a third season, underscoring confidence in the video-game adaptation, which became one of the platform’s most-watched series after its 2024 debut.
