FromSoftware and publisher Bandai Namco will introduce a new ‘Deep of Night’ expedition mode to Elden Ring: Nightreign on 11 September. Billed as a high-difficulty challenge aimed at experienced players, the update strengthens enemies, removes the option to target a specific Nightlord boss and disables the game’s usual shifting-terrain modifiers. The mode adds exclusive “Depths Relic” items and weapons that carry both benefits and detrimental effects. Difficulty rises across five “depths”; after Depth 3, the encounter becomes an endless battle designed for players seeking extended endurance runs. Progression ratings will fluctuate based on wins and losses, altering the depth level and keeping the challenge dynamic.
