Nintendo said it will broadcast a dedicated Nintendo Direct on Tuesday, Aug. 19, at 6 a.m. Pacific time to showcase Kirby Air Riders, an upcoming title for the next-generation Nintendo Switch 2 console. The livestreamed presentation is scheduled to run about 45 minutes and will be hosted by game director Masahiro Sakurai, marking his first full Kirby project since 2003’s Kirby Air Ride on GameCube. Nintendo has released few details about the sequel, but the company has indicated it plans to launch the game later this year. The timing of the Direct, one day before the start of Gamescom in Cologne, suggests Nintendo could make the game playable at the industry event. Viewers can watch the broadcast on Nintendo’s official channels at 9 a.m. Eastern, 2 p.m. in the UK and 3 p.m. Central European time.
