Indie artist Jay Som, the project of Los Angeles-based musician and producer Melina Duterte, announced her first studio album in six years. The record, titled "Belong," is scheduled for release on Oct. 10 through Polyvinyl Record Co., marking the follow-up to 2019’s "Anak Ko." Duterte introduced the campaign with two singles—"Float," featuring Jimmy Eat World front-man Jim Adkins, and "A Million Reasons Why." The full LP also includes guest vocals from Paramore’s Hayley Williams and Mini Trees’ Lexi Vega and was written, performed, produced, engineered and mixed by Duterte, with additional contributions from Soft Glas’ Joao Gonzalez, Mal Hauser, Steph Marziano and Kyle Pulley. Alongside the album, Duterte outlined an extensive tour that starts July 25 in Philadelphia, includes summer U.S. dates with Lucy Dacus, and resumes in late October for European and North American headline shows running through mid-December.
