Australia’s Alex de Minaur reached the Wimbledon third round, overcoming France’s Arthur Cazaux 4-6, 6-2, 6-4, 6-0 on Thursday. The No. 11 seed dropped the opening set but then dominated behind a sharp returning display, handing Cazaux a decisive 6-0 fourth set to close the two-hour contest on No. 2 Court. The victory gives de Minaur his fourth career appearance in the Wimbledon round of 32 and his 29th match win of the season, a year after he was forced to withdraw from the quarter-finals with injury. Elsewhere in men’s second-round action, 18-year-old Czech Jakub Mensik beat American Marcos Giron in four sets to book his place in the last 32.
