Google has expanded the availability of Gemini Live's camera and screen sharing features to iPhone and iPad users in the United States, ending the previous Android exclusivity. Users need version 1.2025.2062302 of the Gemini app on iOS to access these tools, which allow the AI assistant to analyze surroundings via the camera or provide assistance with content on the device's screen. Screen sharing uses Apple's built-in broadcast system and follows Apple's privacy standards. The rollout follows announcements made at Google I/O 2025 and is part of Project Astra, which aims to enhance Gemini Live's capabilities across platforms. These features are available to both free and paid Google AI plan subscribers, though access may be staggered. Additionally, Google has expanded access to Veo 3, its AI-powered video generation tool, in the Gemini app and Flow. Pro subscribers on Android and iOS receive a trial pack of 10 Veo 3 video generations, each up to 8 seconds with native audio. Veo 3 is now available to Pro and Ultra plan subscribers, with the Google AI Pro plan priced at $19.99 per month and Ultra at $249.99 per month. Veo 3 is now accessible in the UK, Latin America, and a total of 73 countries for Ultra plan subscribers. All videos generated by Veo 3 are watermarked, with visible watermarks for most users and invisible SynthID watermarks for Ultra subscribers using Flow. Google has also launched a SynthID Detector tool for verifying generated content.
