The Housing Development Administration of Turkey (TOKİ) has completed the construction of 2,738 earthquake-resistant homes in the Karaköprü district of Şanlıurfa, an area affected by the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes. Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Minister Murat Kurum emphasized the trust residents have in these new homes, quoting a beneficiary who said, "Even if they offered me 10 apartments elsewhere, I would not leave here." Following recent forest fires in İzmir, Minister Kurum visited the affected villages and assured residents that new homes would be built and delivered within one year by TOKİ. Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya reported that 228 houses in İzmir sustained heavy damage due to the fires. Yerlikaya also stated that the replacement homes would be delivered within six months. The government continues to prioritize reconstruction efforts in disaster-affected regions to restore housing and community stability.
